Grayson starts lasix

Good day today.  No major events to report but we are tired!  I had my work holiday party so we pushed our skin-to-skin/kangaroo time to the next care (8 and 9pm) so we just got home.

We had a change in doctors today, and this doc wanted to start Grayson on lasix.  She didn't want to also start him on the SiPAP today, so that will most likely be tomorrow.

Both kids had a lot of spells while we were there, having their heart rates and/or oxygen levels take a dip.  Personally I think they are uncomfortable and working hard to digest the thicker food.

Pray that Grayson's SiPAP transition goes well and that both kids stabilize their heart rates and oxygen levels.

I will update the post with pictures tomorrow.

  1. God, we thank you for another day with no major events. Please help Grayson transition to the SiPAP with no complications. He is so tiny and has faced so many struggles in these nearly six weeks. We beg you to bless him with an easy transition. Guide the new doctor to make decisions that will help both Grayson and Scarlett move forward on their path of growth and development. And today, Lord, we ask that you give some special attention to Tricia and Tim. You have given them a miraculous gift in Scarlett and Grayson but you have also presented them with more challenges that many parents of new babies. They have proven their unmeasurable love in sacrificing their own needs in order to help care for their children in the NICU. Give them some peaceful rest for their tired bodies. Mary, our Mother, we continue to ask you to intercede with your Son. You know that Grayson needs a trouble-free transition today. Scarlett needs to continue her progress and Tricia and Tim need some rest. Plead with Jesus on their behalf today and everyday. Thank you, God, for all the graces and blessings you have given and forgive us again as we ask you for even more.

  2. Sending your prayer request straight to the Heavens. Asking His angels to deliver it and His Mother to intercede Even as we ask for more, we are thankful and grateful for another good and quiet day. Hopefully you and Trish have been able to catch some sleep here and there. Let God give you His grace and renew your hearts and energies for the day.
